This time I am trying out the black and white challenge which this week is “Texture”. ย My electronic thesaurus has eleven words under texture. One of which is appearance.
This oak tree gives the appearance of a fairly mature oak tree. A bit rough to feel the texture of the bark I suppose.
If you felt texture of that you would be left with a stinging sensation. Another word similar to feel is touch
Don’t you feel that you could almost stroke it following the pattern on it. Actually it is a fungus growing out of a tree trunk and its got a baby underneath it.
Another word appearing under texture is surface. The surface of a leaf feels soft.
But a flower petal is softer.
But even softer is this.
But don’t get too close as it is the seed head of a milk thistle.

If you didn’t leave a comment on my latest post I would have never seen that you entered in the challenge as well Chris, as there was no pingback and you did not leave a comment with your link to your entry in the comments section of the Black and White Challenge.
Please remember next time to (1) Name your post the name of the challenge and in this case it should have been : Black and White Photo Challenge : Texture and (2) to include a link back to the challenge which is : http://sonelcorner.wordpress.com/2013/08/05/black-and-white-photo-challenge-texture/ and (3) don’t forget to post the link for me in the comments section so I can come to your blog and see you entry and do a reblog so others can see it as well. ๐
By posting the link to the challenge : http://sonelcorner.wordpress.com/2013/08/05/black-and-white-photo-challenge-texture/, your followers can see where the challenge is and if they feel like it, they can also take part.
Thanks for taking part and these textures and shots are beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing. ๐

Sorry about that, I’ve never done a pingback before and am not sure how to do it I did do a sort of link with you, but it appears in the blogroll section. I will try and do better next time.

No problem at all Chris. That is how we learn. ๐
A pingback automatically occurs when you post a link to a blogger’s post in your own post. So, if you did that I would have received the pingback. I did however pasted the link into the comment that you left me, and there was no harm done at all. I just don’t want to miss out on all the lovely entries and believe me, yours are not the first. ๐
Thanks again for taking part. Loved your photo’s. ๐
