My favourite things to photograph are clouds and trees. Are trees and clouds things, well they are as far as this post is concerned.
This first one shows my old oak tree which I’ve shown before, but not in black and white. I rather liked the cloud towering above it.
A trifle over exposed where the sun is showing.
Now a couple of pictures of just clouds.
Not sure that those last two wouldn’t be better in colour. Let’s go back to the trees.
Not too many. What’s that lamp post doing there. Funny things lamp posts sometimes they can look quite good in a photograph but not there.
Quite like the white-out effect on this picture, almost looks like snow. The infra-red effect when turning from colour into black and white turns the blue sky into a black sky.
Now this one really does look better in black and white.
Well, what do you think; too many trees and not enough sky perhaps. Okay let’s see more sky.
Yes well, you can’t get rid of trees altogether.
Bye for now.

Hi Angie, I am sorry to disappoint you but as much as I would like to enter this competition I cannot find any suitable travel photos. I’m afraid I do not get around much except around the countryside here in Wincanton and it has been many years since I last did any travelling. Thank you for inviting me, Chris.

Glad you liked them, although I think I liked them better in colour. I was going to use them in Sonels Split Tones challenge, but I am still have problems learning how to do that at the moment.

Me too. I have looked at one Sonel’s tutorials…this week has been chaotic. One of our holiday organisers has told me he uses LR all the time so looking forward to some tuition over the next two weeks.
