For this particular challenge I have concentrated on articles that have been abandoned or thrown away.

As you can see a couple of cones have been chucked into the river, not an unusual occurrence. There are also quite a few other articles like bottles and cans most of which could be recycled, but then I suppose it’s easier to walk down to the river than actually put them in the bin provided.
Of course there is another culprit who just throws things down on to the ground when finished with, the tree!

Just throws them on the ground and leaves them lying around all over the place.
Here is another example of what gets thrown into our river.

Another bottle and can denied to the recycle lorry which comes round each week.
Lets go back to the tree.

At least when the tree has finished with its leaves it deposits them all around the tree providing the tree with compost eventually and is therefore recycled.

But what is our excuse.

That bottle down there in the water isn’t going to rot down. Eventually I suppose it will finds its way to the sea together with all the plastic and other non rotable materials thoughtlessly thrown away into our rivers so conveniently provided.
Finally I will leave you with another abandoned object that has been cluttering up the place here in Wincanton for some years now, since it got burnt down.
