Hi there,
First of all I must apologise for not doing anything for Week 5, I went down to my avenue of trees and they didn’t look any different from the previous week and I ran out of inspiration, but yesterday it was a lovely sunny day so I tried again.
As you can see the leaves are finally beginning to acknowledge that finally it is probably time to begin getting ready for Winter.
Don’t the trees look lovely this afternoon. Mind you there are still some leaves who are not taking any notice of Autumn.
Aren’t they going to get a surprise when the first frost appears. I do love the late afternoon sun at this time of year through the leaves.
It looks as if some trees have acknowledged…..
…..that winter is nigh upon us.
We are getting close to the avenue of trees; I wonder if there is any change yet.
Absolutely no change at all. I wonder if it will be like this come mid winter.
It’s beginning to get a little gloomy in here and the sun has disappeared behind those trees.
I shall be back up here to see how long the leaves stay on those trees.
Bye for now!

Almost funny – you are in the festival of leaves, and we south of the equator are entering the festival of blossoms.

Some autumn colour at last – but it’s really strange, isn’t it, how many trees are still green?
Lovely pictures 🙂

Hi, yes some colour although not a lot; I had to exaggerate the colour a little. Wont be long before the first air frost arrives and then the leaves will fall off all at once.

Glad you liked them. I will be here again next week although I think the leaves will come down all at once with the arrival of the first cold and frosty night, which can’t be long coming now. Thank you for commenting.

I’m not sure about you but I’m finding that in my bit of Somerset, the leaves are very late changing colour, if at all. Maybe they will actually change before winter proper is upon us!

Some have changed colour, but there are still an awful lot of green leaves on the trees still. Probably get a hard frost or strong winds and they’ll all fall down in a great heap. Thank you for commenting.

Leaves are still clinging on here in Shropshire too – a late autumn this year, but I don’t mind if we skip winter and move straight into spring 🙂

Each season brings its own beauty, including Winter and without Winter we wouldn’t appreciate Spring and Summer. Thank you for commenting.
